Trial of Sacrifice

A cult devoted to the evil god Chernobog has summoned a portal to the realm of the living. As the god of darkness, Chernobog spreads a corruption to the mortal world, that slowly destroys the surrounding lands and causing an illness to spread. In the many attempts to close the realm connecting Chernobog to the world, the leaders of nearby kingdoms have sacrificed all of their soldiers and are now running out of options. Our protagonist Viktor, a humble farmer; has been forced to be the next to enter the realm and attempt to defeat Chernobog. Viktor must succeed in this task, otherwise he will lose his life. Follow along in Viktor's story; fighting skeletons and completing unique challenges, such as time trial completions or using unique fighting style choices. Features A unique single player dungeon crawler that focuses on a slower paced third-person combat system A Linear dungeon design that increases in difficulty; designed for a one-shot adventure Local leaderboard system for speed run enthusiast Breakable resources scattered throughout the dungeon, used for upgrading gear. Armour and Weapon upgrade system, to further enhance the player's combat during their playthrough Skeleton enemies utilizing 3 different weapon styles, with varying damage and attack speeds. A final boss with multiple unique attack styles and two final endings possible to Viktor's story About 'Above Average Catfish' Above Average Catfish is a 9 person indie company consisting of recent college graduates with varying focuses in the gaming industry. We were tasked with creating a game from scratch with only 12 weeks to complete it! We decided to push ourselves to make something on a larger scale and we hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed working on it!
